Fraser Blyth

Fraser is the principal of Selkirk Planning & Design based in Revelstoke, BC. As an urban designer and planner, Fraser has brought a design-based planning approach to communities throughout the Kootenays for the last 14 years.

Fraser’s work focusses on creating places for people by integrating the local landscape into ecologically-based urban design that enhances and celebrates a local sense of place in mountain communities. His design approach integrates natural, cultural and historical influences, people-focused urban design, innovation and technology and financial considerations into each design.

Fraser uses technology and a small-firm approach to deliver innovative design solutions, be accessible and communicate effectively at a great value.

Fraser has completed over 160 projects over the last 14 years and has achieved success in municipal planning projects, trail strategies, master plan and development applications, urban design, and bylaw development. His landscape-based approach has ensured success at all scales.

Fraser has worked with Bluerock on various OCPs and Zoning Bylaws, including: Valemount, Grand Forks, Slocan and Castlegar.
