Bluerock’s Role: Jonathan Schmidt was one of the lead authors for the Official Community Plan and Zoning Bylaw.
Bluerock Planning collaborated with MVH Urban Planning & Design, Selkirk Planning & Design, and ARC Engagement on a new and inspiring Official Community Plan (OCP) and Zoning Bylaw for the City of Castlegar. The new OCP provides an easy-to-read and understand plan that will facilitate the up to 75% of new development within existing areas, minimizing the need for new expensive infrastructure. The new Zoning Bylaw streamlines the City’s regulations on development with fewer zones and more flexibility.
