Breelyn Joyce, BUS, RPP, MCIP,
Senior Planner
Breelyn is a registered planner on the cutting edge of planning policy and regulation in Canada. As a planner for the Town of High River she had the opportunity to implement Canada’s first hybrid/form-based zoning bylaw, which won national and provincial awards. Her other significant work has included acting as the High River representative on the first Regional Plan for the Calgary Metropolitan Region, assisting on Alberta’s first provincial regional plans, and implementing zoning and policy innovations for municipalities across Alberta in her role as a consultant.
Breelyn strongly believes that great communities start with great people. Sometimes these great people are leaders, or elected officials, but many times they are the everyday citizen. She believes that a successful planning project does much more than change the landscape – it creates connection and opportunity. Connection to the ecosystems that support our urban environments, connection to each other, and opportunities to succeed as a whole. Breelyn provides policy writing, planning, and design expertise to Bluerock Planning and her own firm Noble Planning.
