Bluerock was asked to provide professional planning expertise for Amazon Web Services’ (AWS) site selection process in the Calgary Region from 2020-2021 and then again recently in 2023-2024.

Bluerock’s team of planners met regularly with AWS and ARUP teams to provide strategic advice on which land would be ideal for future investments in the Calgary Region. The site selection required a detailed understanding of multiple levels of regulation and planning policy across numerous municipalities and levels of government. The Bluerock team was able to translate complex planning regulations into plain-language for the investors and decision-makers.
