Municipal District of Acadia Land Use BylawClient: Municipal District of Acadia Date: 2024 Location: M.D. Acadia No. 34 (Acadia Valley), Alberta Bluerock’s Role: Jonathan Schmidt was one of the lead authors for the Area Structure Plan and assisted with community engagement. Bluerock Planning is helping the Municipal District of Acadia in creation of a new comprehensive land use (zoning) bylaw for the County that includes numerous improvements, such as the promotion of economic development through more business-friendly regulations and reduced red tape, an easy-to-navigate bylaw with new specific use and general regulations, and streamlined land use districts. Bluerock will assist with community engagement, Council and administration workshops, drafting of the land use regulations, and packaging together of the land use bylaw.
