Bluerock Planning, in partnership with other consultants, assisted on a forward-looking Official Community Plan (OCP). The new OCP provides an easy-to-read and understand plan that will facilitate the right type of development to create a thriving Village of Port Alice. The village is going through a transition from an industrial economy to a tourist destination. Even the whales are returning. The new OCP offers landowners new opportunities to develop their land, and envisions a downtown hub that benefits residents and businesses with a vibrant core of activity and interaction. Bluerock Planning provided planning, policy writing, and public engagement support to the project.
The OCP was adopted by the Village of Port Alice Council on August 9, 2023.
