Bluerock collaborated with MVH Urban Planning & Design to create a comprehensive plan for over 1800 acres of future industrial land in Rocky View County, close to the City of Calgary. The Shepard Industrial Area Structure Plan’s key features is the integration of a future inter-modal rail site with large format industrial development.
The ASP also integrates wetlands and natural features into the design to ensure a high-quality of industrial development that can be an attractive place to work for employees. Bluerock led the creation of the ASP document, including mapping, policy writing, and graphic design.
The ASP was granted 1st reading by Rocky View County. The project is now being discussed by the City of Calgary and Rocky View County as either potential annexation lands or as a cooperative planning area.
